Yesterday I shared a romantic mint and blush inspiration board surrounding Claire Pettibone‘s ‘Beauty‘ gown and it got me thinking about more about all the pretty gowns I’ve come across of late. So many Brides get caught up about the front of their wedding dresses, and whilst it’s important that the front is pretty, the back sometimes makes the biggest statement.
I love wedding gowns that have gorgeous backs – the daring plunging backs, the use of pretty laces, sweet and simple bows and intricate embellishments – I love all those details and it’s definitely something you’ll want to show off to your guests.
Plunging Back Gowns and Lace Details
Open back dresses are super romantic and depending on the cut, it can be incredibly sexy and classy at the same time and well, you know how I feel about lace. Lace wedding gowns always have a timeless look to them and when gorgeous laces are incorporated into the back of a gown, that just says it all – divine. Sweep your hair up or leave it down in loose, soft waves and you’ll sweep your husband-to-be off his feet for sure.

Sweet Bow Details
There’s nothing sweeter and more romantic than a simple gown with a low plunging back and a touch of ruffle detail finished off with a sweet bow. Girliness all around! These gowns are definitely on the top of my list of wishlists – if only I could get another wedding gown.
I’ve always thought that wedding gowns with embellished details on the back are total show stoppers. The intricate beadwork appliques and embroidery are definitely something to be admired, if not for its beauty, but for the amazing craftmanship. Stunning right?

So peachies, what does your wedding gown look like?
