Brace yourselves peachies because today I have something oh-so special and peachy to share with you all. The lovely, Isa of Isa Photography contacted me a few months ago to help style and bring to life her love for vintage in a photo shoot. As a lover of vintage details myself, I jumped at the opportunity and we got straight down to pulling together a great group of talent for the shoot. We thought the softness in peaches and cream was the perfect palette for a vintage theme and coupled with my penchant for all things peachy, a vintage peach theme made perfect sense to compliment the lovely vintage gowns and accessories of Mrs Vintage and the stunning flowers by J.F. Floral Couture. To top things off, a stroll down the fruit market near my place said that peaches were in season so it couldn’t have been more perfect! Not even the downpour of rain which moved our shoot indoors could dampen our spirits! The lovely hair and makeup was by Mini Chan Makeup, gorgeous stationery by Kalo Make Art, delicious cakes by Homemade HK and pretty props from Ellermann Design.
We wanted the shoot to have a sweet vintage feel and knew we wanted to create a pretty tablescape with vintage china, lace, books and beautiful florals set against wooden crates filled with delicious peaches. Our inspiration came from gorgeous garden images and peaches themselves so we decided to include fresh peaches and succulents into the design to give it that classic vintage feel. We helped to create the theme with a backdrop, pretty laces and linens, gorgeous vintage and rustic props, vintage tableware, delicate florals and gorgeous stationery, along with totally romantic and pretty peaches.
Hope these dreamy film photographs by Isa make you swoon like they did make me. For even more gorgeous images, click here.
Homemade HK baked us some delicious mini peach cakes.
The stunning flowers by J.F. Floral Couture incorporated soft coloured florals that complimented our peachy palette but with green accents. Garden roses and astilbes were used and succulents were added into the centrepieces and bouquet for some added texture – all of which kept with the sweet but southern vintage feel.
Our model, Vince wore a 60s caplet dress with a medium train from Mrs Vintage‘s gorgeous vintage gown collection. I just love that lace collar!
The gorgeous stationery was designed by Kalo Make Art.
Lucky for us we had a gorgeous vintage typewriter from Mrs Vintage and vintage suitcase from Ellermann Design at our disposal so I wanted to make use of them to create a guest book table. Remember those wedding guestbook ideas I shared a while back? Well, this seemed like the perfect opportunity to turn one of those ideas into reality, so armed with some doilies, twine and a black marker, I got down to DIY-ing a “Love Notes” banner, put together the suitcase, typewriter, threw in a crochet lining, doodled on a blackboard and voila!
Vince looks absolutely divine wearing this handmade lace headband with white flower bridal clip, also from Mrs Vintage.
From Isa… “I have always wanted to shoot something very soft, romantic and feminine, so when we managed to pull together this group of talented vendors sharing the same vision, I was extremely excited. I knew from the beginning that I had to shoot film because the softness and pastel tones would complement our vision perfectly. Using film just added that extra touch of dreaminess which tied everything together.”
Thanks so much to the talented team who helped to put this all together and to Isa for the beautiful images!
