I don’t know about you, but when i was little it was always so much fun to raid the linen cupboard, take out all the sheets and build a secret little teepee cubby house. So, don’t you think this would be so much fun to do for a shoot with your loved one? This little teepee engagement session by the water is super sweet. I love the breezy beachside picnic and camping vibe of today’s shoot with its gorgeous yellow blooms, lanterns and comfy pillows. And what’s camping without a handmade tent? Beautifully shot and styled by Marie of Lilelements, it’s the perfect little treat to get the day started.
From Bride to Be, Alanna shares, “Andrew and I met on a random night out. Andrew flashed his gorgeous smile and I tried to dance with him but he was playing hard to get. Then he decided to finally talk to me after smiling at me continuously or maybe he had finally gathered courage to actually speak to me but his wingman walked up to me and said, ‘Have you met my friend Andrew?” and the rest was history.”
“The proposal happened on our monthly anniversary. Andrew had organised a picnic in Centennial Park by the duck pond. Andrew had packed all of my favourite foods, prawns, sushi and even a sweet for dessert along with cider to drink. We then left after being attacked by geese and headed home where Andrew had decorated our living room with flowers, rose petals and candles. The song ‘Close to you’ by The Carpenters was playing because it’s our happy song and then Andrew was down on one knee and as tears rolled down my cheeks I said, ‘YES!'”
“Marie from Lilelements is a dear friend of ours and she wanted to capture a styled shoot for our engagement. She had a few ideas in mind and when she showed me a teepee on the beach, I simply loved it. It was so pretty and just reminded me of our countless picnic dates also it had a relaxing atmosphere to it.”
“The chest with the paper cut out letters of ‘LOVE’ was DIY project of mine along with gathering some sticks and lace for the teepee idea.”
“My favourite detail of the day was the beautiful setup which was just amazing. The flowers chosen by Marie were just beautiful and a nice touch to the whole shoot.”
