After a bit of catching up post holiday, I’ve finally had the time to put together a recap on the One Fine Day wedding fair I attended whilst in Sydney. It’s been a month since the fair but just the thought of my few hours at One Fine Day still gets me warm and fuzzy inside. Having met and chatted to the lovely girls behind One Fine Day and seeing all the beautiful images from last year’s event, to say I was uber excited would have been an understatement – and let me just say, it was totally worth the 9 hour flight over to make it.
I rocked up on Saturday bright and early to be greeted by a huge line of eager bride-to-be’s, all waiting with much anticipation for the doors to open. Although the weather was ever so miserable and we were all waiting huddled under our less than helpful umbrellas, no-one let it be a downer on the day and once inside Sun Studios, it most definitely turned into One Fine Day. It was inspiration galore! From the beautifully styled table settings, to the lush floral displays, to the live music, to the bridal fashion showcases, to the food tastings, to the pretty displays of stationery, and not to mention the uniquely styled and decorated stands of all the creative vendors – I am 200% sure that no bride or even groom would have left uninspired.
Every nook and corner was filled with inspiration from talented photographers, stylists, florists, videographers, stationers and many other creative vendors – some whimsical, some vintage, some modern, some bright and colourful – no matter the look and feel, I was smitten. I was so psyched to see some familiar faces and catch up with friends such as Tealily Photography, I Love Wednesdays, Milton Gan Photography, Paper Crane Productions and also finally put faces to names that often pop up in my inbox! It was great to finally meet the lovely ladies from Savvy Brides, Makeup by Megan, Kristi Bonnici, She Designs Events, The Sisters, Sharon Wee Creations and White Magazine and be introduced to some peachy new brands and creative talent, which let’s be honest, there can never be enough right?
I don’t think my words can do the fair justice so take a peek at the awesome video recap from Paper Cranes Production and snippets from my trusty little camera.
