Mismatched Bridesmaids

by Simply Peachy on 31 July 2012

I don’t know about you but I am totally smitten with the mismatched bridesmaids trend that’s going on right now. However, I’d be lying if I said I had thought about it for my wedding because the control freak in me made sure my bridesmaids looked totally matching – but you don’t have to! I really have fallen hard for this trend of moving away from the tradition of having matching bridesmaids. It’s a great way of adding some variety into your entourage and it also allows your bridesmaids to choose the style that best suits them. More often than not, the one dress doesn’t always suit or flatter everyone so by allowing your bridesmaids to choose from a variety of styles, it not only lets them showcase their individual personality, it also ensures that they will feel comfortable on the day. There are many ways to do mismatched bridesmaids so have fun with it peachies!

You can choose one colour with different styles:

or varying tones of one colour with different styles:

or one style with different colour options:

or opt for a particular theme like vintage dresses or sequins:

or mismatch their shoes:

or go for all the colours of a rainbow!

Whichever way you do it, I’m sure it’s going to look peachy and fabulous! Just remember to send me some photos!

I am totally on board. I think it’s a fun way to show your friends personalities but keep it all uniform at the same time!
