Andy and I met unexpectedly at a time when I had already made plans to move to Hong Kong so we never really thought anything would happen. I left for Hong Kong as planned and we later decided that a long distance relationship was better than no relationship so we gave it a go. The first year and half of our relationship was spent jet setting between Hong Kong and Sydney to see one another but not long after, Andy moved to Hong Kong, we moved in together and the rest is history.
So for our engagement photo shoot with the wonderfully talented Trish of Tealily Photography, we used our long distance beginnings as inspiration and came up with the idea of using paper aeroplanes to symbolise the start of our relationship. We also wanted to take this opportunity to create a postcard-style save the date that would make our friends and family get a glimpse of the fun love to come at our wedding.
Between the paper aeroplane messages, wispy parklands, windy waves, sunshine and lots of laughter, we had a beautiful afternoon with Trish.
Can you tell that I totally fell in love with the colour peach? What a cute and gorgeous alternative to pink for engagements and weddings!
Big cuddly thanks to Trish for putting in so much effort, patience and thought into our shoot to capture all the love and laughter in between!
