Are you ready peachies? Because to say today’s inspiration shoot is oh-em-gee amazing would be a total understatement. It’s the kind of stuff that dreams are made of. Inspired by her innate love for all things free-spirited and bohemian, the ever so talented stylish Emma Duckworth partnered with We Are Origami Photography to bring us a bridesmaid shoot that’s beautifully bohemian in every way possible and is all kinds of ethereal perfection. Its beauty is bewitching – the loose and flowing elements used throughout, the intricate headpieces, the chic dresses, the gorgeous teepee draped with crochet, lace and exquisite florals – all of it – utterly bewitching. If this shoot teaches us anything, it’s that when a talented team of vendors come together for a day of inspiration, it’s a magical thing.
Stylist, Emma Duckworth shares, “My inspiration and concept development behind this bridesmaids shoot was my innate love for all things free spirited and bohemian. This lose and flowing style is becoming more and more prevalent in wedding styling now a days so I wanted to pull it into an ethereal and uber feminine space. The tee pee was layered in numerous layers of lace and crochet fabric that was hung over bamboo poles in a lose and free style and so topped with a spray and tea stained florals and grasses. My vision for the bridesmaids clothing was that they weren’t going to be to structured and formal and that each of their dresses could actually have been worn outside of the wedding setting. The bohemian look is about mixing and matching and this is exactly what I did with the jewellery – lots of long necklaces, bangles on the arm, gem stoned rings. As with the clothes, the hair and makeup is informal, relaxed and natural, messy curls, braids and half do’s for the hair and blush, barely there tones for the makeup. The feather head piece, honed skull and feathered headpiece are all items that are synonymous with bohemian styling. In a nut shell this look is all about a free spirited heart felt look that allows a bridesmaid to exude confidence in being true to themselves and not conforming with a stereo typed bridal look.”
