Stelloberry Designs is one of our fave guest posters on Simply Peachy! I love all of Stephanie’s pretty paper printables, but most of all, I love how she makes DIY look so effortless and always inspires me to give it a go! Today she’s here with another awesome freebie – ‘Go Nuts’ favour tags!
I don’t know about you, but gift-wrapping is one of my favourite parts of the festive season – there’s so many ways to be creative and to have fun with it. And although we’re now on the other side of Christmas, I love to find any excuse to use pretty tags and ribbons wherever I can. And what better place to do that than at a wedding?
If you’re like me and have a soft spot for packaging, then you’ll love this DIY which is very easy and a little playful. It can work with any kind of favours you may be giving to your guests, but the goes best, for obvious reasons, with favours that contain nuts.
- Scissors, a craft knife or a 2 inch circle punch
- Good quality A4 cardstock
- 3mm hole punch
- Paper bags
Cut out each of the tags. You can use scissors or a craft knife, but I find it much easier to use a circle punch – these tags go perfectly with a punch that cuts out 2-inch circles. Then use a 3mm hole punch to punch a hole at the top of each tag where indicated.
Use ribbon/twine that matches both the tags and the paper bags to attach the two together. Fold the top of your paper bags over first before attaching the tags so your favours stay safely inside!
Handy tip – if you’re giving out salted nuts or other treats that may make the paper bags oily, put your goodies in a cello bag first.
Try using these tags on different kinds of packaging for a little variety – think boxes, glassine bags, muslin or paper cones, or maybe you could attach the tags to dishes filled wit nuts as part of your dessert buffet.
