Groomsmen Wine Tasting Party

Remember super sweet and stylish Jessi and Sam who styled the perfect vintage picnic engagement session? Well I’m back today to share another one their fun ideas – an awesome wine tasting party for their groomsmen! Most couples generally don’t enlist the help of their groomsmen or bridesmaids until closer to the wedding date because they don’t want to burden or bother them, but there are so many fun and guilt-free things they can help with. It doesn’t just have to be all the boring or labour intensive stuff. I highly doubt they would be bothered by an invitation to help you taste test yummy wines for the big day! I mean, who could say no to a chill night with friends featuring fun and cute decor, nibblies and booze? Sign me up please!

I really love how creative Jessi and Sam are! I absolutely adore the stache theme they had going on throughout this simple boys gathering and just love that even for such a simple party, they’ve put so much effort into personalising and making it fun for themselves and all their friends. Wedding planning can be fun too! You just need to let your hair down once in a while and not let the stressful parts take away from what’s important – that you’re marrying the love of your life and want to share that beautiful day with the people that mean most to you. No matter how stressful things get, just remember that peachies. Enjoy the process!

Bride-to-be, Jessi shares… “Wedding planning can be stressful but it can also be a lot of fun. One of the best ways for us to have fun was to involve our bridal party in our planning. In this case, my fiance Sam invited his groomsmen to help select some wines to be served at our wedding dinner.”

“To make this “Groomsmen Wine Tasting Party” more efficient and fun, I made some DIY handicrafts for the cheese and wine table. Since it was a guys only gathering, I tried to make everything look more “manly”. My inspiration came from the original vintage moustache and gentlemen bowler hats. I cut and stuck moustaches on the wine glasses and made labels for the cheese and bread (home baked by one of the groomsmen!).”

“Sam didn’t want the guys to have any preconception of the wines so I made wine labels to cover the bottles. DIY score cards allowed them to take notes during the tasting and made it easier to tally up the scores at the end.”

“The event was a success and everyone fully enjoyed themselves. Who wouldn’t when all they did was eat cheese and drink wine for a whole afternoon! Now I’m thinking I should have a “Bridesmaids Cocktail Tasting Party!”

Isn’t this a fun idea peachies? Who really ever needs an excuse to have a party – but when you do have a good one, why not make the most out of it?

Thank you so much Jessi for sharing Sam’s fun wine tasting event for the boys! I definitely think you should have one for the girls and perhaps even send an invite my way! Just kidding. Can’t wait to hear more about all the peachiness going on in your wedding planning. Xx
