Floral Hair Wreaths

Did you ever collect flowers when you were little – little dandelions, daffodils or daisies? I did. My parents used to take me to Centennial Park in Sydney to feed the ducks and I’d always gather up a flower or two to put behind my ear. Even then I felt girlier with a flower tucked behind my ear or loosely placed in my braid. So when a dear reader asked if I could put together some ideas on bridal hair accessories, upon browsing for ideas, I was reminded of the ‘flower in my hair’ days and thought why not a floral hair wreath (aka flower crown) instead of the traditional bridal veil or hair accessories?

There’s just something so free, feminine, whimsical and ‘I’m a princess in a fairytale’ kind of feeling about putting flowers in your hair. Wouldn’t it be perfect for your garden or beach wedding? If you’re the bohemian kind of girl, this would be spot-on-perfect as it’s so boho chic. Imagine your hair down with some soft waves with a gorgeous head of little flowers in your hair. Swoon. The great thing about hair wreaths is that it doesn’t even have to be fancy or made with expensive flowers. A simple head of baby’s breath, sweet peas, daisies, lilly of the valley or jasmine would do. The simpler, the daintier, the girlier, the better. Oh and don’t forget, they’d be super cute on your little flower girls too!

Here are some dreamy floral hair wreaths that make me sigh with adoration.

I agree, there’s something utterly romantic about long wavy hair with a gorgeous floral wreath. Reminds me of fairytales and all things pretty and surreal.
