Yesterday, Jacinta Yu of Complete Deelite shared her insights into the world of cake decorating and today she’s kindly shared this super easy and fun DIY glitter cupcakes just in time for Mother’s Day. Enjoy peachies!
You will need the following tools and supplies for this DIY:
- Buttercream bag
- Edible Glitter
- Brush (optional)
- Fondant in the colour of your choice
- Silicone imprint molds
You can purchase all the above tools and supplies from Complete Deelite.
Step 1: Press just enough fondant to fill the imprint into the mold.
Step 2: Remove excess fondant and then peel off the fondant from the imprint mold. Repeat steps 1 and 2 with the leaf mold.
Step 3: Squeeze a buttercream swirl on your cupcake. It doesn’t need to be perfectly piped as this is just an adhesive for your toppers.
Step 4: Place your fondant leaves on the top of your cupcake.
Step 5: Next place the rose fondant topper on your cupcake.
Step 6: To add your edible glitter, dip brush into your glitter jar then use the brush to gently flick the glitter onto your cupcake.
Voila! Wrap up these gorgeous cupcakes and give them to your mum for Mother’s Day this Sunday.
