I had succulents on my mind last week and today, I have carnations. It’s my mum’s birthday and she loves carnations. She loves them so much, she used just carnations in all her floral arrangements on her wedding day back in the days. Whilst often though of as filler flowers, I can totally see why they’ve been slowly making a comeback in the world of weddings. Not only are they super affordable but their subtle scents, range of colours and ruffled good looks make them so darn pretty. Carnations would look beautiful scattered on your wedding cake, in your hair, with your place cards, in your place setting or even strung up for a gorgeously frilly backdrop. Perhaps you even have a stunning ruffled gown that matches. I personally love the different shades of pink that carnations can come in and if you add in touches of dusty shades of red, peach and sage green – how pretty would your wedding look with this colour palette?
One look at this inspiration board and you’ll wonder why carnations were ever considered filler flowers.

So peachies, what flowers are you using on your wedding day? Carnations perhaps?
