My favourite time of the year is most definitely January and February as it is usually when the hubby and I venture out on our yearly snowboarding trip. This year is no different and we have a trip to Japan planned next month, which I’m totally looking forward to because I just love the snow. There’s something so beautiful about the pristine white fluffiness that always makes me all warm and tingly inside, despite the ridiculously cold temperatures. Sitting down on the slopes is probably where I feel most at peace and calm and so I really treasure each of our trips and those brief moments where the hubby and I sneak in a cuddle on the slopes looking out to the beautiful white covered landscape.
When Holly from Forget Me Knot Inspirations sent me this fun and snowy Bride in boots shoot, it touched the Ugg boot loving snowboarder in me and I knew instantly that I wanted to share it with you all and what better time than now when it’s exactly one month till my snow trip! Forget Me Knot Inspirations is an Alaskan resource for wedding inspirations and what is unique about them is that they partner with local photographers and real Alaskan women (i.e. non models) to bring their readers beautiful inspirational shoots. Great isn’t it? This Brides in boots shoot features 7 lovely ladies sporting pretty gowns and colourful winter boots and what I love most about it is the simplicity of it all and how ‘real’ women are used.
This is a perfect example for those Brides braving the low temperatures and cool winter weather on their wedding day, that you don’t have to wear 5 inch sparkly Manolos to look great. With boots, you can not only keep warm, add a bit of colour and personality to your outfit and it just looks fun doesn’t it?
