Bridal Accessories by Percy Handmade

We are excited to be the first to share with you Percy Handmade‘s 2013 bridal accessories collection. Each Percy Handmade piece is meticulously and thoughtfully handcrafted by Tania of Percy Handmade – and by meticulous, I mean that every petal has been stiffened, hand cut and formed, each piece of lace has been hand wired and beaded, and countless rhinestones, pearls crystals have been hand sewn into place. It really doesn’t get more intricate and perfect than that. If you have an appreciation for traditional and vintage styling, have a love for beautiful fabrics, feminine glamour, and like me, are all about the attention to detail, a Percy Handmade piece may be perfect for you.

From Tania of Percy Handmade… “My love affair with sewing began before I even knew how to sew. Some of my earliest memories as a child were watching my mother create dresses at the dining room table. I was always curious about how she could transform a simple piece of fabric into something so detailed and beautiful. I started collecting pieces of fabrics and other notions from my mother’s sewing box as a little girl, and as the years went on I would add to it here and there with pieces found locally and abroad. I taught myself how to sew on my sewing machine, Percy.  As I learned new techniques I felt a sense of creative freedom and comfort that drove me to want to learn more.

“Like parents with their children, it’s hard for me to pick a favourite from the collection but the Genevieve comb (above left) is a beautiful harmony of everything I love to capture – beautiful lace, floral detailing, pearls and crystals, and the perfect marriage of old and new.

“It’s definitely a time intensive journey to create each piece but I think that’s what I love about handmade. I feel that each piece has a story and a soul.”
