It’s weddings like this, one that oozes a casual kind of elegance with smiles all around, that puts a grin on my face, each and every single time. It brings warmth to my heart as I am reminded about what a wedding is and should be. It’s the celebration between friends and family of a coming together of two lives and sometimes it’s easy to forget this amidst all the planning and focus on details. Sugarlove Weddings captured this memorable day full of love, friendship and grace that makes me feel super special to be able to get a peek and share with you all.
The bride friend in the fashion industry made her strapless silk georgette gown. Stunning isn’t it? Sarah recounts, “I wanted a classic style and the simplicity of this dress suited our coastal wedding theme. I’ve always loved silk georgette for its sheer and floaty quality.”
Sarah shares, “I chose textural flowers in season such as eriostemon, tea tree and silver dust to give a rougher, almost wild feel, and combined them with delicate blooms such as lisianthus, sweet peas, freesias and open roses to add in a classic touch.”
Sarah and David set up their own candy buffet table for guests to pick their own yummy bomboniere and take home in hand stamped kraft paper bags. Sarah shares “they were decorated with roses and gum nuts which felt like a nice way to mix our English heritage with our new Aussie home!”
