What happens when you put two fun loving food bloggers together to be married? Well, other than the usual gorgeousness you see at weddings, you get a soft serve ice cream truck, a dessert table filled with homemade desserts and a cake pop wedding cake! Love it. Linda and Howard, founders of the foodie blog, Eat Show and Tell were married recently on the beautiful estate of Gledswood and based on what I’ve seen through the lens of Daniel of Daniel K Cheung Photography, it was definitely one of those weddings that you could just party the night away at (if the venue let you anyway)! I mean come on, the giant size Jenga, Connect Four, chess board and Dominoes would have been enough to keep me on my feet – not to mention all the beautiful decor that made my heart beat ten times faster than it should. It seriously looked like a lot of fun! Definitely lots to eat, lots to show and I’m sure there were plenty of awesome stories to tell afterwards! I would love to hear some funny stories from those lucky peachies who were at this wedding, but in the meantime, I’ll let Daniel’s amazing photos tell you the story of the day Linda married Howard. Daniel of Daniel K Cheung Photography shares… “Weddings mean different things to different people. Often it depends on one’s upbringing and surroundings. For young Asian couples who grew up in Western countries, there is sometimes a confusion with one’s identity. When it comes to planning their wedding, balancing the wishes of their parents (reflected in cultural traditions) and what a couple want for themselves, is often a difficult negotiation process. Linda & Howard are a prime example of how the balance was just perfect. In the morning, they offered tea to their respective parents and families and managed to keep the younger generation entertained through the bridal barter games. The wedding ceremony was the most important aspect of the day to Linda & Howard, and it shows in their efforts in decorating the venue with their own personal touches. At night, a large banquet took place allowing Linda & Howard’s parents to celebrate with their friends while the bride & groom partied with theirs.”
Thank you Daniel for sharing this amazing story and celebration with me! Loved every bit of it. xx
