A Wollongong Balloon Engagement by Kayelle Photo

With the weather in Hong Kong starting to cool down a bit and the appearance of the warm Fall breeze, I’ve been dreaming of snuggling up in soft woolen sweaters and scarves under the warmth of the sun. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect when these sun-filled photos by Kayelle Photo popped up in my inbox. Featuring a super sweet and beaming couple rugged up in the perfect amount of layers roaming around Wollongong with the perfect afternoon sunshine accompanying them, this shoot has me floating on cloud nine.

Bride to be, Sadie shares, “We first met in 2004 in Australia where both of us were studying at the University of Wollongong. We met at a friend’s gathering and since both of us were from Hong Kong, we soon became close friends and this is how it all started.”

“The whole proposal was like a treasure hunt. We went to Tai O, Hong Kong for a vacation and spent a night there. The next day when I woke up, I found he was not in the house but left me a map with questions and directions. After answering all those questions and following the route he assigned, finally I was led to a church. In the church, I saw him standing with a bunch of calla lilies. Holding my hands, he said the sweetest words to me and asked me if I would marry him. At that very moment, my heart was just melted. Without a second thought I told him “I do” and immediately I threw my arms around him.”

“We wanted to do something special and meaningful in our engagement shoot, so both Joe and I decided to have the shoot at Fairy Meadow of Wollongong. We picked Fairy Meadow not only because it is a quiet yet beautiful suburb, but also it is a memorable place for the both of us. Every thing we did and every step we took there was just unforgettable. So, we proposed taking our photos in places we used to hang around in Fairy Meadow.”

“We made a “Save The Date” bunting for our engagement session. We designed and made the bunting together: while Joe did all the paper cutting, I did the needlework and put all small parts together.”
