A Vintage Love Shoot by Daniella Melfi

Today I have a little something different to share with you all – a vintage styled love shoot by Daniella Melfi. Daniella’s two good friends were visiting from Minnesota and because they’re such a darling couple, she couldn’t resist dressing them up and putting together a friendly styled love shoot for them. How fun! What I love most about this shoot is the simpleness of it all. There’s no need for a trunk load of props – all you need is two people truly in love – that’s what makes for a beautiful shoot. That said, I do love the bride-to-be’s knee-length dress! I seriously think brides should wear more shorter length gowns on their wedding day – perhaps at the reception? It definitely makes letting loose and kicking back those heels easier!

“I wanted to shoot at two different locations. First one was the old petrol station – i thought it would be fun to place them amongst the rustic cars and signage and then along the way to our 2nd location I saw the ice cream truck! Who doesn’t love ice cream?! It was so much fun hanging out there! The vendor operator was so kind to let us shoot his truck so we all indulged in an ice cream treat.”

“I wanted an open scenic view for our last location – something with tall grass and yellow tones I could play with. My husband told me of this street he had seen and so we checked it out and I fell in love with it. We were so lucky with the weather! I think the storm made the shoot that much more romantic!”
