Today’s sweet engagement comes from a tiny town in Northern Alberta, Canada called, believe it or not, Tiny Town! I kid you not. How cool is that? When Darren of Darren LaBeuf Photography showed me these photos, I knew I had to share them – if not because of the gorgeous images or sweet loved up couple, but definitely because of the novelty of hearing about a place called Tiny Town. My mind shoots immediately to a cute little miniature toy-like town (which of course isn’t what Tiny Town is like at all) but instead Darren introduced me to a place which had a wild wild west feel that also had its very own saloon, a barn like hotel and even a jail! What do you think peachies? Are you ready to take an adventure through Tiny Town with Darren’s beautiful light-filled photos?
From Darren… “Andy and Del-Rae met 5 years earlier while working at national park together during the summer. The engagement session was done in a small prairie town called Woking (population of 120) in northern Alberta. The shoot itself took place in Tiny Town – a miniature western town that the bride’s father has been slowly building single-handedly on his property over the past several years (it is also where the couple’s wedding took place a few weeks after the engagement shoot). What I liked most about the shoot was the uniqueness of the location (and how remote it was – I drove 5 hours to get there), and how it was so personally tied to the couple. The light was amazing, as it often is in Alberta, and the couple was so much fun to work with; it was easy to see just how much they love each other.”
Thank you Darren for introducing me to Tiny Town and sharing your beautiful photos with me today! Can’t wait to see Andy and Del-Rae’s photos from their Tiny Town wedding!
