A Sydney Sailboat Engagement Session by Leah Kua Photography

When Sydney weather is beautiful, it is utterly breathtaking and if I could do one thing on a day like that, it would be to set sail around the Sydney Harbour, soak up the sun and take in all the beauty that Sydney has to offer. So, when these beautifully soft and sunny photos by Leah of Leah Kua Photography featuring a super sweet and loved up duo on a sailboat popped up in my inbox, it was a no brainer that I had to share these with you all. As lovers of the water, James proposed to Katherine on a private beach so it was only natural and made perfect sense to have their engagement session done by the water – and what better way than on your very own sailboat! So, today I leave you with heaps of gorgeousness, engaged love, pretty navy stripes, sailboats, refreshing water, sunny sunshine and a breath of fresh air.

I just love Katherine’s shoes!

From Leah… “Katherine & James chose an extremely unique and personal location for their engagement session. They both love the water and James even proposed on a private beach with a ring he had custom made to be something Katherine would absolutely adore, so it was the perfect idea to have the session on their very own sailboat. A few years ago James spent some time studying naval architecture and he actually played a very big role in designing the boat, New Territories, that you see in these images. I love that name as I think it can represent so many things, including the new territory that they are about to embark upon together. We spent a beautifully sunny and peaceful day sailing on Sydney Harbour and then pulled into Shark Bay as the sun set for a stroll along the beach. We waited a long time to do this on a day when the conditions would be just right and we could not have been blessed with a more perfect day. In keeping with their love of water, Katherine & James will be married at Palm Beach in NSW, Australia at the end of September.”

Thank you Leah for sharing these gorgeous photos even though you’ve made me totally homesick now! Can’t wait to see their lovely Palm Beach wedding! Xx
