A Sydney Botanical Wedding by Origami Creatives

When an engagement or wedding from the lovely team at Origami Creatives makes an appearance in my inbox, I know without fail that it’s going to tickle my love for all things fun and beautiful. These guys have such wonderful way of capturing the day that not only knocks the socks off the gorgeous scale, but also makes me feel all those smiles and emotions as though I was there myself. So today, I’m doing a little cheer as I share this simple yet beautiful wedding packed with happy faces and lovely botanical details. You might even remember this fun loving couple from their fabulously colourful engagement session featured here.

Bride Anna shares, “James and I met at university in Adelaide SA where we spent most of our time in the botanical gardens that was next to the university instead of our lectures! James proposed while we were out one night with some friends in Newtown, very unexpected, we were dancing when he asked me to marry him. I said yes even though I thought he was joking.”

“My sister and I were looking for a “back up” dress as we were originally going to make my wedding gown when we walked into Akira I fell in love with the dress that I bought, it was the only wedding dress that I tried on.”

“The theme of our wedding was ‘let love grow’!”

“We wanted to keep things simple and local so everything was planned around the area we live.”

“My favourite detail of the day was the food, the Boathouse on Blackwattle Bay did and amazing job and their service on the day was fantastic.”

“The most memorable moments were our wedding speeches, they were all so beautiful and touching.”

“My advice to couples planning their wedding is not to feel pressured to do anything you don’t want to do, there were a lot of traditional things that we didn’t do for our wedding because we wanted to keep things very simple and because we felt that we didn’t have to do them either!”
