It’s always so wonderful to see photos from a friend’s wedding but when they’re stunning photographs of two good friend’s wedding featuring amazingly beautiful styling and florals, it’s just too wonderful for words. The hubby and I were so sad when we weren’t able to travel home to Sydney to attend our friends, Elaine and Alan’s wedding so when we saw and heard how beautiful the day was, we were even more bummed! Lucky for us, their day was captured so beautifully by Tealily Photography that we didn’t miss a single detail and it almost felt like we were there.
One of the things I loved most about Elaine and Alan’s wedding, was all the time and effort Elaine put into DIY-ing items for their wedding. Elaine and I had so much fun chatting about all the little details and ideas she had for the wedding leading up to the day, it was so great to see the end products, all of which were oh-so pretty! Between the beautiful ribbon wands, paper garlands and paper flowers, it was clear that Elaine really took it to heart to make the wedding uniquely theirs and oh my was it stunning! To top off all the pretty handmade items, Butterfly Philosophy Flowers & Styling did wonders with the flowers and styling of the day. I’m a big fan of Butterfly Philosophy’s work so when I saw frame after frame of breathtakingly gorgeous and different arrangements I think I nearly passed out from not breathing for an extended period. Each arrangement was so perfect in their own way and looked so effortlessly put together, it really took my breath away. There’s so much to love about this wedding, I could go on forever! Word of warning peachies – there’s some serious swoonfest ahead.

From Elaine of Butterfly Philosophy Flowers & Styling: “I loved working on Elaine & Alan’s wedding so much! They wanted a fresh spring vintage vibe – soft pastel shades and arrangements filled with lots of texture. With that short brief and a few images for inspiration, Elaine was happy to leave the rest up to me. And what fun it was! Giving a florist (almost) full creative license is like letting a kid loose in a candy store – it allowed me the freedom to go to market and pick the most amazing, beautiful and quirky things available that week. From the bouquets down to the table settings, everything was filled with a delicious array of spring’s best blooms – no two arrangements were the same! The styling was finished off with old books, tea caddies, wooden crates and gorgeous DIY details like ribbons and paper garlands made by the bride herself.”
Congratulations again Elaine and Alan! I’m so happy for the both of you and wish you both a lifetime of peachiness! xx
Thank you to Elaine of Butterfly Philosophy for sharing these stunning photos with me today and for reminding me how beautiful a wedding full of florals can be! Cannot wait to see more of your gorgeous work! xx
