A Simple, Elegant and Fun Sydney Wedding by Tealily Photography

When you mix a fun and relaxed Bride and Groom with beautiful images captured by Tealily Photography and amazing storytelling by Paper Cranes Production, you end up with a perfect match. Throw in sweet love letters and thoughtful gifts, a too-cute-for-words little flower girl, a glowing Bride, a beaming Groom and a fun and fabulous bridal party into the mix and it’s truly the perfect celebration of love. There is so much laughter, happiness and sweetness in this intimate and simple elegant affair, it really is off-the-charts wonderful. No doubt you’ll think so too when you hear Patricia and David’s promises to each other, which really touched my heart.

From the Bride, Patricia… “Having grown up with the big weddings that we used to go to, Dave and I knew immediately that it was definitely not what we wanted. Dave and I are very simple people so we knew that we wanted a small wedding that consisted of only close friends and family. We also knew that we wanted a simple, elegant, fun kind of wedding with a bit of vintage feel – and the Tea Room, with its high ceilings and amazing architecture, was exactly that.”

Judging by their video, it looked like the Groomsmen had a ball with the opening door games. Lots of laughter there and I love this photo of Patrica peeking down at the silly business!

“I knew that i wanted to get my dress custom-made, but I wasn’t exactly sure how I wanted it to look like until I saw a picture of a similar dress in a bridal magazine and I knew that was how I wanted my dress to look like. I knew that Leigh from Paris Bridal would be the right person as she made my year 12 formal dress years ago.  The dress had a Chantilly lace bodice and silk satin bottom. Leigh did an amazing job and it was exactly how I pictured my gown. I also made sure that my veil had the same Chantilly lace as the dress!”

This photo of Patricia enjoying a moment with her gorgeous gown is precious, isn’t it?

“For Dave, the best part of the wedding was seeing me walking down the aisle and for me, it was seeing him on the other end.”

That is definitely one of the most memorable moments of any wedding in my books!

I love couples who write their own wedding vows, particularly because you know it comes from the heart in the most sincere and rawest of forms. I always get so choked up when I hear couples’ declaration of love for each another and the promises they make to one another. Patricia and David’s wedding was no different and I found myself so touched by David’s vows in their video, which he also so thoughtfully and sweetly had framed as a wedding gift for Patricia. Sweet much?

Patricia and David displayed photos of their parents on their wedding day – such a lovely idea!

“Our seating board was a very last-minute DIY project. I had seen this on a wedding blog and thought it was a great idea. I started searching for photo frames but couldn’t find anything I liked. In the end, one of our friends printed out each card separately on a board and then I pieced them together like a jigsaw puzzle. I loved how it turned out! I think DIY projects are great for adding that special touch to a wedding to make it more unique – even if it is just something small. We really tried to incorporate that into our wedding from our seating board to the tags on our bonbonnieres.”

“Our day turned out great thanks to the amazing weather and because we were just so blessed with our wonderful family, friends and the amazing vendors who helped make the day happen for us.”

What a great photo of the Bride and Groom with the super talented peeps at Tealily Photography and Paper Cranes Production!

Oh lovely wedding! I was also wondering where to find the photo frame arrangement as I have also read it from another wedding blog/facebook page quite some time ago and have no idea to where find such a thing – it looks super awesome!

Hi Joanna! I do love that photo frame arrangement! I hope you picked up a few tips from Trish on how to make it. Do show me what you end up with! Would love to see. :)
