Remember Anna and Victor’s super adorable lemonade stand engagement session peachies? Well, their wedding was just as sweet and I’m excited to be able to share it with you. Once again beautifully captured by Origami Creatives, Anna and Victor’s wedding was all things cute, playful, and fun and the tribute paid to their Chinese heritage with the picking up of the bride tradition and tea ceremony made it a gorgeous mix of culture and Spring sweetness. And I can’t help but LOVE the peach floral palette! Lots of peachiness in this one peachies!
Bride Anna shares, “Victor and I met at Chinese School. Every Saturday morning our parents sent us off to Sydney Chinese School. We were there at a young age but never spoke to each other until we were in Year 7.”
“During our 8 year anniversary, Victor took me out on a lovely surprise dinner date and afterwards to the Sydney Centrepoint Tower for drinks. There he handed me a little photo book that he had made and in it was some of our memorable photos from the very beginning of our relationship to current date. At the very last page it was filled with tiny post-it notes and on the top left-hand corner was a message saying “Peel from here”. The post-it notes revealed a photo of us dressed in traditional Chinese Wedding outfits and the all-important question at the bottom, “Will you marry me?” It was such a sweet surprise!”
“One of my favourite details was the traditional Chinese wedding dress (“kwa”), which was my “something borrowed” from my best friend Sharon, who also wore it on her wedding day. I love seeing the pops of red/gold in our wedding photos!”
“My most memorable moment was when we went with the Chinese tradition where the Groom picks up the Bride from her house. It was memorable to me as it was the first time seeing him on our wedding day. I was so nervous I couldn’t sit still!”
“The tea ceremony part of our day was very special to us, it meant a lot having all our family members there to share our day.”
“For our invites, our lovely friend Raymond helped designed it for us all the way from the USA. We then had to print it out ourselves and sealed it altogether with a band. He also helped designed our table seating chart, table numbers and name place cards.”
“After looking at many bridal shops, I fell in love with the dress from the same shop where my best friend and Maid of Honour bought her wedding dress. I didn’t put a deposit straight away because of the hefty price tag, but I couldn’t stop thinking about it so I knew I had to get it.”
“For our flowers, we went with bold and bright colours to match our Bridesmaid dresses and the Spring season.”
“My advice for couples planning their wedding would be to go with your gut instinct.”
