Are you ready for some major prettiness peachies – because Alison Mayfield Photography Studio is bringing us a whole new level of sunny awesomeness thanks to this breathtakingly beautiful Phuket wedding that was just filled with endless laughter! It’s so oh-em-gee fun that I’m itching to jet to a destination wedding right now, even if I have to crash one. The fun-filled games from the traditional Chinese opening door games is enough to make you let out a giggle, and when you throw in all the pretty purple details, the love amongst friends and family, the fireworks display and the dancing, it’s clear that this was one helluva celebration. If you ever needed to stop what you’re doing to check out a wedding, this one’s it peachies.
From the Bride, Selina, “It took me a couple of days to find my dress. I had in mind what I wanted and tried on at the style at some stores and had it tailor made.”
“One of my most memorable moments was my parents walking me down the aisle.”
“My other most memorable moment was having fifteen people in our wedding party with each person being very dear old friends – some friendships dating back to when we were in kindergarten!“
“I loved the contrast of purple against white and white against purple. My bouquet was a combination of lilac roses, dark purple cala, purple eustoma and a touch of white with the ivory roses. The bridesmaid’s dresses were purple so they had bouquets of ivory roses together with a ivory rose corsage for the groomsmen, but Kenzo had a purple cala lily.”
“The ceremony was filled with white flowers with pop colours of purple and at the reception we chose simple modern elegant low arrangements of three different heights of vases with floating purple cala lily, white cala lily and purple tulips.”
“The guests loved the hangover bag we put together which was given out at the end of the night with all the essentials, Alka Selzter, Red Bull, condom, paracetamol, Evian facial spray, bottle of water and small card with a few Thai phrases to help the guests get home if they went out on the town.”
I love the idea of a hangover kit! It definitely looked like their guests would’ve needed it!=
“The inspiration for our wedding was ‘enjoyment’. We wanted everyone to let their hair down and really have fun. We ensured there was plenty of good music and lots of alcohol to have the guests dancing throughout the night. I’m sure the elephant ice sculpture vodka luge contributed a great deal!”
“As most of our guest traveled a very long way to attend our wedding and just 3 days before Christmas, we wanted to make sure everyone enjoyed themselves so we wanted our wedding to be fun fun fun!”
