Can you imagine a more special wedding gift that an engagement session with one of your favourite photographers? Essentially a documentation of your love for one another where it’s just about the two of you, an engagement session must be one of the most beautifully meaningful gifts you could receive and Hai and Alice were two lucky souls to have received just this from Hai’s sister – and with the amazingly talented Leah Kua Photography? How wonderful!
Hai and Alice spent the day hand in hand over on Cockatoo Island and as you can see from Leah’s warm sun-filled photos, it was most definitely a fun and glorious day. I’m talking sunny Sydney weather, a delicious picnic basket that had me salivating, a romantic sunset and the beautiful historic surroundings of Cockatoo Island. I am so in love with this location and all the variety it provides! In fact, I might be a little obsessed over just how beautiful it is. Check out the full gallery for more gorgeousness!
From Leah… “We made plans to meet at Cockatoo Island, a place that Hai and Alice had fallen in love with after attending an outdoor jazz concert earlier in the year. I had heard rumours about how amazing the island was, but nothing could have prepared me for what I found when the ferry docked. An abundance of abandoned warehouses and ship building equipment, old sandstone prison cells and gatehouses, tunnels and walls. Saying I love that kind of thing would be the understatement of the century and I was truly giddy the entire time that Hai, Alice and I explored the island, chatted and even picniced together (thanks to Hai’s culinary brilliance) until sunset.
These two gorgeous souls have already shared so much during their journey together that has strengthened them as a couple and I could not feel more blessed to have been given this opportunity to be involved in one small part of that for them.”
Thank you for sharing Hai and Alice’s beautiful engagement session with me Leah. This must’ve been the most amazing wedding gift they received! Congratulations Hai and Alice! xx
